Getting On Top Of Seasonal Stress
Warm wishes to you all angels!
I think it is safe to say that the countdown to Christmas is officially on. I love Christmas, and I am really excited, but the run up to it can sometimes seem daunting. There is so much to do and so little time to do it, which can lead to it becoming very stressful. As you will probably know, stress can be a big trigger for flare ups when you have a skin condition, so it is important to get on top of the stress that Christmas can bring in order to help you manage your skin.
I have put together some of the most important things you can do to conquer seasonal stress, so put your feet up and read on.
Christmas Shopping
The movies might paint Christmas shopping as a gorgeous afternoon filled with twinkling lights and lovely shopping bags, but the reality is usually a fight with hundreds of other people in the cold and the rain. It does nothing to help your stress levels, so plan ahead and get in there early. Make a list of everything you need to get and do a bit of research online to find out where you can get it from and who has the best prices. Even if you do then want to visit the shops, you can have a plan of where you need to go and make it much more targeted and successful.
There are some great Christmas shopping tips over on ‘Your Christmas Shopping Starts Here’, so make sure you check it out.
Black Friday
Black Friday is the perfect way to get some great deals for Christmas. The sales are now on and The Beauty of Eczema™ is no exception. That’s right you can get 40% off with the code: BLACK FRIDAY40!
Christmas Food
If you are managing your skin condition through your diet, then Christmas can be the time when it all goes wrong, but it doesn’t have to be. There are still plenty of delicious treats that you can enjoy whilst still taking care of your skin. I have put together The Beauty of Eczema™ cookbook to give you a wide range of nutritious and yummy recipes that can support the health of your skin throughout any season. In addition to the recipes, there are also lots of great tips on how to manage stress, understanding the foods that you should be embracing and how to still focus on the joy of food.
Relaxation
Christmas should be about enjoying yourself, so make sure that you take some time out from all of the planning to relax and reset. A warming bath can be a great way to do this and adding the Pamper Me Bathing Oil or the Salty Soother Bath Salts can give your skin a chance to have some time out and pampering too.
The most important thing about Christmas is spending it with the people we love the most, so when the stress feels like it is getting to you, please remember that you are enough. The gifts, the decorations and the food will not be important to anyone compared to seeing you happy and well, so make sure that your number one priority is yourself.
Lots of love and positive vibes, Camille xx
